If a robot could dream, and you could represent that dream in music, is this what it would sound like? Hypnotic, digital, slightly randomised and somewhat comforting - it's pure electronica featuring huge bass warps and filtered leads over a dubstep beat to evoke trance elements and an uncertain, almost neutral mood. Is it uplifting, happy, emotional or nostalgic? I'm not sure, but perhaps that's because I'm made of metal.

Hyped up hard house meets shades of ska in a frenetic mix. A driving EDM beat and chirpy trumpet lead thrust us forward into a hypnotic and uncompromising dancefloor banger. Lots of synth stabs, arps and leads, off beat accents and the occasional breakdown to keep things varied, it's a relentless piece that's as curious as it is energetic. If 8 bit computer game music married EDM, this could well be the result.

Quirky and offbeat mix of pop, jazz, EDM and minimalism. A piano theme accompanied by beatbox and light percussion, off beat funk brass, synth stabs and leads, vocal cries - it's an eclectic mix that gradually builds throughout, creating an intriguing tension whilst remaining predominantly fun and energetic.

Hyped up, hook ridden song to test your energy levels. Short and sweet, you sense the playful vibe from the start with kiddish vocals, fuzz guitar and a raw rock rhythm. Lots of noise, lots of speed, lots of fun ........... and a manic disposition.  

Inventive and raw ambient track. With a metronomical rhythm created from organic and percussive tones enhanced by mechanical sounds, a sense of tonality comes from the minimalist piano adding the slightest of bass feels and harmony. Somber and pensive in atmosphere, with a lulling calmness in amongst the tension, as the title suggests, time ticks on, and the piece reflects a hypnotic and hollow sounding illusion of an ever present constant. Intriguingly captivating for what is essentially a soundscape.

Ethereal and mysterious classical piece. Woodwinds accompany a celeste theme to open, followed by more diversity from the orchestra as the track unravels. Slow and creeping, creating suspense and wonder in equal measure, it's a simple yet well crafted work with a cinematic touch.

Creepy melodies, weird sounds and disturbing noises designed to create a send of dread. Featuring scary strings, music box and rhythmic synths to drive it on, it lies somewhere between a deranged ethnic ensemble and a contemporary, cinematic action tension builder. A little bit different, and all the better for it, whilst maintaining its roots in the cinematic horror camp.

A playful and curious orchestral theme with tribal African percussion and orchestral string pizzicato hits

Rhythmically and musically diverse orchestral piece. Interesting to the point of experimentation due to the dissonances and jerky rhythms, it is inherently a classically inspired composition with 20th Century music influences. A sense of the bizarre mixed with battle drum percussion, you have fast, chaotic woodwinds interjecting with off beat brass stabs and a prominent choir echoing and mirroring the main themes. A strong military feel, with a mix of gothic darkness and mischeivous endeavour in a cinematic package.

Recklessly, this harmless melody develops into full grown dubstep drop, describing an action-packed and epic world.

An instrumental electro sci fi track with a familiar 80s style. Vintage arpeggiated lead and bass synth tones move us forward, backed by a rich electro beat and enhanced by percussive and tonal effects. A delicious grit in the pulsing bass and an ethereal quality to the choir and organ give a contrasting texture to this other-worldly piece of retro-future music, mysterious and transcending in equal measure.

Quirky techno track with a manic edge. Unnerving in its unrelenting movement and jittering rhythms, it's built on industrial synth themes and a pumping retro beat. Throw in some buzz and hyperactive guitar, sprinkle with some glittering synth chords and occasional leads, and keep the mood relatively light, albeit slightly crazy, and you have a well produced track that's bound to fit someone's very specific, frenzied and feverish needs.

Dynamic solo drum beats. Energetic and a little bit funny.

A mystifying mix of styles, instruments and languages. Hypnotic and psychedelic in a trip hop style, with a cinematic arthouse flavour nodding to the bizarre, there is a constant progression and evolution that captivates and envelopes the listener. Using melodica melodies for an eerie fun, futuristic theremin for a sci-fi wierdness and random sound effects to unsettle, there's arpeggiated classical guitar and funk bass for a taste of the traditional familiar, as well as vibraphone, chimes, and piano to sprinkle their charm over the spectrum of diversity. Add in intimate and agonised vocals and you have the complete recipe for a journey into a weird and wonderful world.

Industrial background track. Heavily synth based with a hard driving beat, it also has a digital, tech feel as well as the overall urban soundscape it creates. With no lead line to rely on, the main atmosphere comes from a deep, rolling bass powered by the pounding drums and enhanced by varied synth textures, from fast arpeggios to warped single note lines to thick organ chords. Slightly dark and gritty, with a relentless feel of industrial progress.

Whilst most of us would reach for the nearest packet of painkillers in times of need, others might be tempted by a more sonic dose of cellular and sensory treatment. 174 Hz acts like energetic anaesthesia and is supposedly great for relieving a person from tension and pain, so this well targeted soundscape of minimalist electronic tones set in a cloud of ethereal ambience might be just the medication you need. Lie back, soak it in, and let yourself float to wherever you want.

Gritty atmospheric track. More soundscape than melody, it marries acoustic and synth sounds for a hybrid track reflecting tension, intrigue and dark suspense. Starting with a raw, biting cello and metronomic percussion, tension is introduced through high strings, background chorals and synth textures to create an unsettling, eerie vibe, eventually breaking into a fuller beat without letting up on the chills. Mean and moody.

Hollow and desperate piano instrumental, epitomising loneliness and helplessness. Slow, methodical piano meanders throughout, searching for a theme, enhanced by electro sound design elements that reinforce the sound of empty space. Not a piece that's going to brighten your day, unless you've been searching for the perfect accompaniment to your solitude and loss of hope.
