Edgy orchestral track. Starting with a fast moving string theme and percussion, deep chimes ring in the ominous dread approaching. Building in intensity, and dropping out, become able suspense techniques throughout, as does contrasting the doom with light playful passages on strings, woodwinds or xylophone. Slurred legato violins apply textured expression and rich brass adds an aggressive feel to create a dramatic, mysterious and epic composition.

Orchestral carnival theme with a sense of the macabre. Very animated, with all the instruments of the orchestra featured for a dynamic and at times, deliberately hectic and manic feel, it captures both the fun, comical side of the circus with the darker, more horror themed associations we've come to see on the big screen. Hauntingly enjoyable.

Rhythmic soundscape, built on synth pads, arpeggiated leads and warped textures. 16th note delay creates constant movement. Overall, a slightly eerie, brooding atmosphere.

Orchestral fantasy track. Opening with a dramatic sequence of string ostinato and female vocal aahs, and building in intenstity through legato strings, rhythmic percussion and stabbing brass, the mood changes to a softer, magical mid-section of vocals and sweeping strings, sprinkled with harp runs and chimes. The action soon returns with more beating taiko rhythm and full orchestra to the climax of a piece that suggests epic drama, action, mystery and heroism.

Male and female choir chanting, cinematic percussion and deep synth textures marry with a full range of orchestral techniques and dynamics for an epic, jagged piece that is action packed, unsettling and dramatic. Dark and gothic due to the choral elements, it captures an energetic and panicked spirit with a sense of struggle and fight.

Intense and terrifying cinematic theme, with creepy pads and synths, pulsating percussion and a sinister atmosphere. Creating a disturbing intensity with aggressive sirens and impacts, they give way to a softer, more psychological tension of synth melody and dark textures in this steady paced, truly atmospheric soundscape full of background subtlety and effects.

Epic and dramatic maelstrom of orchestral texture, building into an intense climax. Featuring the whole orchestra in a well constructed, well paced action sequence, it's full of percussive hits, fluttering tremolos, cascading wind runs, brass stabs and a whole pit of underlying menace. Wonderfully dynamic and packing a real punch.

With fantasy elements and gothic overtones from the use of sparkling glockenspiel and operatic vocals, the piece marries various moods whilst always suggesting an impending danger and wonder. Running synth phrases, electric guitar stabs and shrill legato strings complement the rich and diverse landscape, backed by a strong and steady drum beat. A supernatural and mystical revelation.

Symphonic fantasy epic. Enchanting and ominous in equal measure, it's a piece full of grandeur with choral melodies accompanied by ever progressing string and brass themes to build to a fulfilling climax. Gentle and lilting only for the start and short ending, the more prominent mood is tension and ever increasing intensity.

Inventive and raw ambient track. With a metronomical rhythm created from organic and percussive tones enhanced by mechanical sounds, a sense of tonality comes from the minimalist piano adding the slightest of bass feels and harmony. Somber and pensive in atmosphere, with a lulling calmness in amongst the tension, as the title suggests, time ticks on, and the piece reflects a hypnotic and hollow sounding illusion of an ever present constant. Intriguingly captivating for what is essentially a soundscape.

Powerful, dark and ambient track with themes of despair and impending doom, featuring eerie pads and synths. No beat, no impacts, just a synth created soundscape to put you on the edge of darkness. Shimmering and unsettling, with a rich sense of wonder.

Eerie sounding, and slightly sinister in feeling, it creates an impending tension through drones, dissonant tones and high pitched sounds before breaking into a pulsing section with sub bass hits and shrill synth textures. Dangerous and full of suspense, it paints an uneasy picture of unknown worlds and lurking doom.

Spooky, skeletal track with a captivating atmosphere. Stripped to the bare bones, it's quite minimal, but uses the space to great effect, allowing the darkness to weave through the gaps. All the creepiest instruments are there: music box, glockenspiel, echoing percussion ... all leading and accompanying the playful strings, ghostly piano, lurking bassoon and carnival accordion for an unnerving experience of delicate, haunting beauty. Chills.

Electronic horror-themed track with arpeggiated keyboard, underlying light trap beat and synth pulses

It all depends on how you're feeling. On the one hand, this is a deep, soul searching soundscape of profound, inner vibrations - an electronic soup of slowly evolving tones, drones and unresolved mutations that leads you to mysterious places and intriguing discovery, safe in the knowledge that at this pace, you'll have the time to fall into it's myriad hypnotic states. On the other hand, it's the soundtrack to your worst, most isolated horror nightmares and the darkest, creepiest underworld you never want to visit. The choice is yours - it's just a question of context.

Soothing but mysterious orchestral track. Arpeggiated piano and strings start classically, but a theremin lead takes things to an unexpected level of mystical contrast. Elegance and majesty is constant due to the warm orchestration throughout, with a deliberate unease and suspense created by the unusual instrumentation and melodies.  

Industrial techno track. Very lively and beat driven, without being overly aggressive, the hits and impacts are enhanced by synth phrases and distorted electric guitar riffs, intended to create an overall landscape of power, industry and energy rather than a memorable melody. Unrelenting and tense dark electro.

Horror soundscape theme. What starts as an atmospheric horror build up of risers, metal hits, orchestral swarms and harmonics, harp glissandi and random percussive elements finally breaks into a short, off-beat orchestral string theme. Diabolically dramatic with no sense of tempo but a strong sense of tension, it's a track to catch you off guard and keep you guessing.
