Royalty Free Country Music
Need Country Music for your Project
Country music is a genre that has probably inspired or influenced you whether you realize it or not.
Even if you are adamant that you hate country music, chances are your favorite pop stars are heavily influenced by it.
The reason it influences so many is that few genres have the same reputation for great storytelling.
It's that storytelling potential that makes it so good for all sorts of video projects.
Tell a Story
As we already said, there are very few genres that can match the storytelling quality of country music.
To give an idea of the influence it had on major artists, take one of the greatest storytellers of all time, the late Ray Charles.
You might not instantly associate Ray Charles with country music, but the great man himself attributed his storytelling style, largely, to listening to country songs from a young age.
If you are reading this and hearing the theme song from Rawhide, rest assured, country music doesn't have to mean the old west.
Country music has moved with the times, from Kenny Rogers to Taylor Swift, and kept its personality throughout.
In your project, you might be focusing on instrumental music, and that's fine; it still works.
Country music isn't just about the lyrics, and if it's done well, instrumental country music can enhance the narrative in your video incredibly well.
Some genres pair well with visuals or locations; country music pairs well with dialogue.
That's where we fit in with our collection of stunning royalty-free music, ready to help you tell your story.
Country Music in Film
If you are new to country music and unsure if it's right for your project, there are plenty of examples to check out.
But, rather than list them all here, we'll give you the best movies about country music.
It might seem like overkill, but they will give you as much country storytelling as you can handle.
More importantly, they will inspire you, no matter what your video is about.
The Instruments Matter
Country music uses most instruments that you'd find in typical pop music, but it also uses instruments that aren't commonly found in pop music.
You might be thinking, why does that matter?
Well, it matters because the instrumentation helps determine how suitable a track is for your video.
We said country music could work no matter what your video is about, and that's true.
But that doesn't mean every country song is perfect for every scene.
Let's say you have a scene showing an emotional breakup between a married couple.
A country track with a slow tempo, played by piano, double bass, and harp sounds perfect.
Now, take the same scene and same song, but play it on a banjo, a fiddle, and a tambourine; does it still fit perfectly? Probably not.
We could, of course, say that about any genre.
However, most genres (with a few exceptions) don't utilize such a diverse and long list of instruments.
So, it's well worth thinking about when it comes to making your final choice.
Another thing that's worth thinking about before making your choice is our fantastic video preview tool.
