Don't expect cute elves and elegant fairies in this ethereal forest - this is the darker side of fantasy. Strings and synths come together to create a slightly disturbing ambient soundscape that tries to fool you into thinking everything is sweet, but never lets go of the sinister background gargle penetrating the mist. Floaty, progressive, but mystically unsettling.
Sometimes it's the innocent simplicity that hides the darkest terrors. With a menacing detuned piano theme penetrating your brain over a backdrop of atmospheric vinyl crackle, string swarms and percussive metal hits, this horror trailer track has the brooding sense of witnessing something you really don't want to see. Very dark, very atmospheric, and very horror.
Creepy melodies, weird sounds and disturbing noises designed to create a send of dread. Featuring scary strings, music box and rhythmic synths to drive it on, it lies somewhere between a deranged ethnic ensemble and a contemporary, cinematic action tension builder. A little bit different, and all the better for it, whilst maintaining its roots in the cinematic horror camp.
I'm going to call this one garage metal due to its overall raw old school tone, but it still has a modern punch, thanks mainly to the powerful, compressed assault you get from the drums. Aggressive, distorted and at times dissonant, it has all the angst and energy associated with the heavier end of the genre - fast rhythm picking, double bass blast beats and downtuned bass guitar all playing their part to bring you an unsettling and tense instrumental of dark heaviness.
Dark electric guitar riffage for those times when you want an uncomfortable ear bleed. Edgy and atmospheric at first, building to a deeper, more dissonant texture of distorted chugs, it's a mix of prog metal with a cinematic depth. Brutal and raucous but with an occasional mellower underbelly, great as a tension building track or backdrop to dramatic, aggressive scenes.
Upbeat rock track with an inspirational and corporate feel. Rolling piano, electric guitar leads and fast picked riffing combine with a stomping drum beat, all awash with bucketfuls of reverb and delay to create a big stadium sound with an uplifting feel. Verging on epic, with a sense of the dramatic and commercial.
